HP releases new 14-inch laptop with Intel Panther Lake and 32 GB RAM
In January, HP expanded its OmniBook range with dozens of new laptops as part of its CES 2026 showcase. Almost seven months later, and HP has started to release new OmniBook 5 models, including an updated 14-inch convertible.
Previously, the OmniBook 5 Flip 2-in-1 was available with Intel's Raptor Lake platform (curr. $669 on Amazon). In comparison, the latest OmniBook 5 Flip 2-in-1 moves up to newer Panther Lake processors.
Specifically, the convertible laptop can be configured in the US with the Core Ultra 5 322, Core Ultra 7 355 and Core Ultra 9 386H, as well as 16 GB, 24 GB and 32 GB of RAM. According to our benchmarks, the Core Ultra 9 386H enjoys a massive performance advantage over its Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 siblings thanks to its additional P-Cores and E-Cores.
Moreover, the OmniBook 5 Flip 2-in-1 comes with a 68 Wh battery but only a 1200p and 300 nit IPS display with 62.5% sRGB colour space coverage. Currently, the 14-inch convertible costs £1,199 in the UK with the Core Ultra 5 322, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
