Lenovo releases new 14-inch laptop globally with 32 GB RAM, Intel Panther Lake and over 20 hours battery life
A few months have passed since Lenovo announced a new ThinkBook 14 2-in-1. Unveiled during MWC 2026 in March, the ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 G6 IPL was billed as combining Intel Panther Lake processors with a 1200p display. In the intervening period, we put the ThinkBook 14 G9 IPL through its paces (curr. $1,337 on Amazon) featuring the same processor architecture as its 2-in-1 counterpart.
Moreover, the ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 G6 IPL has joined its 14-inch sibling in a global release. Previously, the former arrived a month sooner than expected in European markets. Now, Lenovo has expanded the laptop's rollout to include Canada and the US, where it starts at CAD 2,657 and $1,914, respectively.
At those prices, Lenovo includes a Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of DDR5-5600 SODIMM RAM and a 256 GB M.2 2242 SSD. Alternatively, one can configure the more powerful Core Ultra 7 355, 32 GB of RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. Maxing out the ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 G6 IPL increases its price to CAD 3,854 and $2,769, though.
For reference, all SKUs contain M.2 2242 and M.2 2280 SSD slots and a 60 Wh battery that Lenovo claims lasts 20.8 hours in the PCMark 10 test at 120 nits. Apparently, the ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 G6 IPL lasts 13.3 hours in the MobileMark 30 test at 250 nits, too. A 1,920 x 1,200-pixel, 400-nit, 60 Hz and 800:1 IPS display is found across all units.
