AMD-equipped Colorful laptop launches with light build and 120Hz display

Colorful has launched a new AMD-powered laptop, the Rimbook L1 Plus. It features the Ryzen 7 7735HS, a relatively dated APU from the Rembrandt Refresh lineup. The good part is that it brings the Radeon 680M, which is still a capable iGPU.
This integrated GPU can handle a good number of AAA games at FHD resolution with the visual settings turned down to low or medium. Colorful has equipped the laptop with a fast display as well. Specifically, it's a 16-inch IPS with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2560x1600 pixels resolution.
The company has paired the AMD APU with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and it seems that there's only one configuration, which features a 512GB SSD. While the memory isn't expandable, the storage is. There are two M.2 slots that can hold PCIe Gen 4x4 SSDs (2TB Samsung 990 Pro curr. $389.99 on Amazon).
Another highlight of the Rimbook L1 Plus is the relatively thin and light design. The laptop comes with a chassis that's around 16.65mm thick and weighs 1.4kg (about 3lbs). The battery has a decent capacity as well. It has a 65Wh rating, and the port configuration isn't bad, which is as follows:
- 2x USB Type-C
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 1x HDMI 1.4
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1x 3.5mm audio
Among the two Type-C cables, one of them is a 3.2 Gen 1 full-function port with support for PD charging. There's WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity. Colorful has launched the Rimbook L1 Plus in China with a price tag of CNY 5,999, about $886. The company has listed the laptop on the global website, but has not disclosed the international pricing and availability details yet.
