Acer has quietly released a new laptop internationally. Built around Intel's Panther Lake platform, the Aspire 18 contains up to a 16-core processor, 32 GB of RAM, a 120 Hz display and a 71 Wh battery boasting around 17 hours of battery life in official tests.

Acer has already released several larger laptops this year, including the Nitro 18 AI and the Swift 16 AI that we reviewed earlier this year (curr. $1,219 on Amazon). Additionally, Acer recently started selling a new Aspire 16 featuring AMD Krackan Point 2 processors like the Ryzen AI 7 345

Now, the company has returned to its Aspire range with a new option built around Intel's Panther Lake platform. This time, Acer has opted to update the Aspire 18, which it previewed in late May alongside the Aspire X 16 and the cheaper Aspire Go 15. Initially, the company claimed that the Aspire 18 would reach Africa, Europe and the Middle East in June, with a North American launch occurring in August.

Accordingly, we have found the new Aspire 18 for sale across the Eurozone and in the UAE. At the time of writing, the 18-inch laptop starts at €1,289 (~$1,468) in the former with a Core Ultra 5 325 chipset, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage and a 71 Wh battery rated for 17.5 hours of web browsing in official tests. Moreover, Acer includes an IPS panel that resolves at 1200p with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 nits peak brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Alternatively, the new Aspire 18 can be configured with the Core Ultra 7 355 or Core Ultra 9 386H. Acer's product page reveals that a lesser Core Ultra 5 322 variant is coming, as is a 1200p IPS display option with up to a 165 Hz refresh rate. Also, all models feature an identical 71 Wh battery, as well as the same 400 x 272.4 x 12.4~19 mm case weighing 2.19 kg.

However, Acer's top configuration with a Core Ultra 9 386H processor, 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage runs to €2,299 (~$2,618), a 78% increase over the laptop's base configuration. The Core Ultra 9 386H paired with 16 GB of RAM currently costs between €1,499 (~$1,707) and €1,650 (~$1,879), though. Please see Acer's website for more details.
