The HP OmniBook X 16 is down to $899.99 at Best Buy, a $550 discount from MSRP. It's equipped with a 16-inch OLED touchscreen featuring a resolution of 1920 × 1200, up to 300 nits of brightness, and full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
Under the hood is Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-84-100, a 3 nm SoC packing twelve Oryon cores boosting up to 4.7 GHz, joined by 24 GB of LPDDR5X-8448 memory and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Connectivity consists of two 10 Gbps USB-C ports (Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort 1.4a), a 10 Gbps USB-A, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. The Qualcomm FastConnect C7700 modem adds Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 support.
The machine's aluminum chassis measures 13.98 × 9.65 × 0.52 in (355 × 245 × 13.2 mm) and weighs 3.83 lb (1.74 kg), while housing a 59 Wh battery capable of charging at up to 65 W with the included USB-C GaN power adapter.
Due to the laptop's recent release, there are only three user reviews, with buyers mainly praising the screen, battery life, and overall system performance. Wired connectivity sticks out as the main drawback due to the lack of faster USB-C ports, HDMI, and even an SD card reader (7-in-1 USB-C hub curr. $9.99 on Amazon).
