HP has updated its HyperX Omen gaming laptop series with a slew of new models to replace last year's models, like the Omen 16 Slim (curr. $1,340 on Amazon). While the Omen 15 retains Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series laptop GPUs used in 2025 editions, it departs from previous models in more ways than one. For instance, the Omen 15 is one of the first gaming laptops that adopts Intel's Panther Lake platform.
Specifically, HP mentions up to the Core Ultra 9 386H, as well as 'next-gen' AMD Ryzen and other Intel processors. Alternatively, the Omen 15 will also be configurable with older Intel processors ranging from the Core 5 210H and Core i5-14450HX to the Core Ultra 9 275HX. Meanwhile, HP complements these processors with RTX 5050, RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 laptop GPUs, all of which have 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM.
Moreover, the Omen 15 will be available with up to 32 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s RAM and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. Also, HP includes white and 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard options with a numeric keyboard, as well as four display options culminating in a 2.8K OLED and 15.3-inch panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 120 Hz VRR, 1,100 nits HDR brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage.
As the pictures above and below show, the Omen 15 features ports across its left, right and rear sides. Surprisingly, HP has confined just a 10 Gbps Type-C port and an HDMI 2.1 port to the laptop's rear, with two USB Type-A ports, a 3.5 mm jack, Gigabit Ethernet and a barrel power adapter adorning its side panels. HP has not confirmed pricing or availability at the time of publication.
