Staples is currently offering last year’s HP OmniBook 3 15.6-inch laptop with a 29% discount, bringing the cost down to just $749.99 (available for US IPs only). This model combines lightweight portability and increased battery life with AMD’s AI-powered processors featuring fast iGPUs plus a dedicated NPU enabling access to 50 TOPS speeds.

Besides the 8-core / 16-thread AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 APU with Radeon 860M iGPU, the OmniBook 3 model on sale features 32 GB DDR5-5600 RAM that can be upgraded, as well as 1 TB  PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage.

The 15.6-inch display comes with a 1080p IPS LCD panel capable of 300 nits maximum brightness and 62.5% sRGB color gamut. Above the display, there is an FHD webcam with temporal noise reduction and dual array mics.

Port selection is rather underwhelming without any up-to-date connectors like USB4 or even HDMI 2.1. Instead, this model includes a full option USB-C 10 Gbps connector, 2x USB-A 5 Gbps, one headphone jack and an HDMI 1.4b video out. Wireless connectivity is provided through a Realtek Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5.4 card. The backlit keyboard includes the Windows Copilot key.

Portability is excellent, as this laptop weighs 1.7 kg (3.75 lbs) including the battery and its profile measures 1.85 cm (0.73 inches). Despite a small battery rated at only 41 Wh, HP claims the laptop can last for up to 9 hours and 15 minutes per charge in normal use and up to 11 hours and 30 minutes in video playback mode.
