This specific variant of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon ships with a powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 258V Lunar Lake CPU, 32 GB of on-package LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. The Core Ultra 7 performs admirably in most moderately intensive tasks, although extremely heavy CPU-intensive workloads might suffer a bit on the 8-core CPU.

There is no discrete graphics, and the integrated Arc 140V iGPU, while plenty performant, is not well-suited for high-end AAA gaming. That said, lightweight photo and video editing as well as gaming at modest settings is definitely doable. The 14-inch OLED display sports a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Our review showers the panel with praise, especially its 99.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it excellent for color-sensitive work and content consumption. However, its 400-nit peak brightness may not be enough for working outdoors, which is worth noting.

Overall, the laptop sports great build quality, and respectable battery life. The speakers are also surprisingly decent, and so are the input devices. The webcam is somewhat poor considering the premium price, and the RAM is simply impossible to upgrade. 

All told, at its current price, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 boasts commendable value for folks with modest performance requirements who prefer OLED displays. Considering the time-sensitive nature of most deals, interested customers are definitely advised to act quickly.
