Yoga Slim 7a: Lenovo releases new 14-inch AMD Gorgon Point laptops with 1,100 nit OLED display

Lenovo has just released the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition globally with one of Intel's lower-powered Panther Lake processors. Earlier this week, it expanded the availability of the higher-end Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura Edition, too. Now, Lenovo is offering AMD-powered alternatives under the banner of the Yoga Slim 7a Gen 11.
In short, the biggest change from Lenovo's Intel models is the adoption of AMD's Ryzen AI 5 430 or Ryzen AI 7 445 APUs. Both Gorgon Point processors, the pair can be configured with 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 8,000 MT/s. Also, Lenovo offers the Yoga Slim 7a Gen 11 with up to 2 TB of M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 storage, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and a 70 Wh battery.
On top of that, the new 14-inch laptop can be optioned with one of three OLED displays up to and including a 2.8K panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,100 nits peak brightness in HDR mode just like the Yoga Slim 7X (curr. $899 on Amazon). By default, Lenovo includes a 60 Hz, 1200p and 400-nit panel, though. Prices currently start at €1,160 in the Eurozone, £1,000 in the UK and AUD 2,379 with varying default configurations.
Lenovo estimates that shipments should begin between March 23 and March 25 across the Eurozone and the UK. By contrast, the company mentions an 8-week plus lead time in Australia. Lenovo is remaining quiet about pricing and availability in North America for the time being, though.
