Best Buy is now selling the Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 Windows laptop at 28% discount. The price cut puts the Yoga 7 Gen 10 in the same price bracket as the just-released MacBook Neo. However, the Lenovo Yoga 7 convertible laptop enjoys a distinct hardware advantage over the MacBook Neo.

The Apple MacBook Neo has practically killed almost all $500 Windows laptops. However, the MacBook Neo doesn’t look as appealing at its normal retail price of $599 and becomes a downright bad value at $699 for the 512 GB version. You can find some pretty good Windows laptops on sale for $600 to $700. So, this is the pricing range where it makes more sense to consider a used MacBook Air M3/M4 or a discounted Windows notebook.

For instance, Best Buy has discounted the 2025 Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 convertible laptop with an AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 APU by $270. The resulting price of $679.99 is a compelling value proposition, miles ahead of the 512 GB MacBook Neo SKU, which retails for $699.

Specs-wise, the Lenovo Yoga 7 Gen 10 on sale packs a 6-core AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 APU, a 14-inch 1200p OLED display with touch support, 16 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage. The Yoga 7a also carries a Wi-Fi 7 chip, plenty of ports, a 1080p webcam with a privacy shutter, and a large 70 Wh battery. The result is a laptop that earned a good rating of 85% in our review, and which puts the MacBook Neo to shame at the $679.99.

Compared to the Apple MacBook Neo, the Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 has double the RAM at 16 GB, an excellent keyboard with a backlight, a fingerprint reader, expandable storage, a much better port selection, and a color-accurate OLED display. The display stood out in our testing with almost complete AdobeRGB coverage, stellar contrast, and color accuracy.

The Yoga 7 Gen 10 also boasts much better multi-core performance thanks to six Zen 5 cores of the Ryzen AI 5 340. The Apple A18 Pro inside the MacBook Neo is a better performer when it comes to single-core workloads. However, both laptops are more than capable for day-to-day processing, including some light gaming, with the Yoga 7a Gen 10 being the more powerful machine for intensive tasks.

Finally, the Lenovo Yoga 7a Gen 10 will hold its own against the MacBook Neo when it comes to battery life. With a 70 Wh battery, the laptop lasted more than 11 hours in our Wi-Fi web surfing test. While the MacBook Neo has better battery life at 150 nits (almost 13 hours), it lasts under 5 hours at full brightness per our testing.

In short, if you can only spend around $700, the Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 is a much better value than the MacBook Neo. Not only are you getting a better screen, more RAM, and more ports, but you can also upgrade the storage down the line with a PCIe Gen 4 m.2 2242 SSD.
