Besides introducing new gaming laptops and desktops, HP has introduced a couple of gaming-focused accessories at CES 2026. The HyperX Origins 2 series, in particular, introduces three brand-new keyboards, and it seems that the lineup has something for most gamers.
Among the three keyboards is the Origins 2 Pro 65, which is a Hall Effect gaming keyboard with a 65% form factor. HP says that the linear magnetic switches offer smoother inputs, and the sound profile is on the cleaner side, thanks to the O-ring mounting style.
The housing of the gaming keyboard is swappable, allowing gamers to switch up the overall outlook if they prefer. HP also promises responsive keystrokes with the Rapid Trigger technology, and with an 8kHz polling rate, the input latency should remain low.
As for the non-Pro Origins 2 65, it retains the 8kHz polling rate but has regular mechanical switches instead of TMR or Hall Effect. This gaming keyboard also has swappable housing, and the switches are hot swappable. Speaking of which, it comes with HyperX Linear Red Switches.
Moving to the HyperX Origins 2 1800, it's a full-sized keyboard but with a compact form factor. Like the other two, it features replaceable housing, but unlike the Pro 65, it doesn't have magnetic switches. Instead, it utilizes regular linear switches, just like the non-Pro 65.
There's an 8kHz polling rate support, and with the O-ring plate mounting style, the gaming keyboard promises deep sounds and a light bounce. All three keyboards are wired only, and they all have per-key RGB.
HP has yet to share details on pricing and availability, but it's worth noting that the last-gen Origins 65 starts at $99.99 (Alloy Origins 65 curr. $69.99 on Amazon).
