The Gigabyte MAG 274QPF X32 is a new monitor that is a Rapid IPS panel rather than an OLED panel. Rapid IPS offers significant advantages for gaming and fast-moving content, combining the benefits of standard IPS (e.g. accurate colors and wide viewing angles) with faster response times and higher refresh rates. In this case, the MAG 274QPF has a refresh rate of 320 Hz and a 0.5 millisecond response time. It measures 27-inch diagonally and has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440. Although not quite as sharp as a 4K panel, the hardware requirements are naturally lower. Adaptive Sync, which synchronizes the image output with the image display, is supported.
VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification is advertised, along with a peak brightness of 400 cd/m². However, the contrast ratio is only 1,000:1, which means that content with a high contrast ratio is unlikely to be displayed particularly convincingly. The panel is advertised as generating 129% sRGB color space coverage, while the Adobe RGB color space is covered at 95%.
The monitor can only receive video signals via DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1, but not via USB-C. The Gigabyte MAG 274QPF X32 can be mounted on a wall bracket or monitor arm, but the included stand already supports height and tilt adjustments, as well as pivot mode. A console mode is available, and HDMI CEC is supported.
