Garmin has released a new stable software update for Enduro, Fenix 6, Marq, Quatix 6 and Tactix Delta series smartwatches. Rolling out as System software 25.00, the update introduces several new features to the smartwatches, as well as various bug fixes and refinements.

Garmin has started rolling out new stable software for Enduro, Fenix 6, Marq, Quatix 6 and Tactix Delta series smartwatches. For reference, Garmin previously tested System software 25.00 through its Beta Program. Seemingly, the company found no issues with Beta version 25.00 though; the stable build appears unchanged from its beta equivalent.

According to Garmin, the refinement of Physio TrueUp, as well as Backcountry Ski and Snowboard activities are the main changes from the last stable update, v24.10. However, System software 25.00 also introduces numerous bug fixes and a few other new features. The changelog for System software 25.00 is as follows:

  • Added support for Connect IQ System 6.
  • Added a new tip to inform the user that the device battery life can be extended by switching the PulseOx setting to manual.
  • Added support for Primary Wearable and Primary Training Device (Unified Training Status)
  • Improves the backcountry ski and snowboard activities to automatically detect climbs, descents, and transition time.
  • Improves the treadmill pace algorithm.
  • Fixed an issue causing a blank item in the training status list.
  • Fixed an issue where the device was exiting battery saver when accessing the activity list multiple times in a row.
  • Fixed an issue where the device would incorrectly display a message indicating a connection to Rally XC200 Pedals when on activities that don’t support pedals.
  • Fixed a potential issue where the device would shut down on long navigation activities.
  • Fixed a potential issue where the device would display the incorrect highlighted icon on MARQ power controls.
  • Fixed a potential issue where the reported recovery time would not match across multiple widgets.
  • Fixed the auto-save activity UI flow to no longer show PR alerts.

Please note that the update may not yet be ready to download on your smartwatch. Typically, Garmin issues major stable software updates in batches. However, System software version 25.00 should download and apply automatically whenever Garmin pushes it to your Enduro, Fenix 6, Marq, Quatix 6 or Tactix Delta series smartwatch. The release of System software 25.00 also concludes Garmin’s 24.xx Alpha/Beta period; the company has not confirmed when new Beta Program builds will be available, though.
