Garmin has pushed a new update to the Instinct 2 series, including the Instinct Crossover, for smartwatches enrolled on its beta program. Beta Version 14.11 is available to download now and contains various bug fixes for all eligible models, including a few specific to certain smartwatches.

The Garmin Instinct 2 series has received another beta update, following the release of Beta Version 14.09 at the end of last month. This time, the company has offered up Beta Version 14.11 to public beta testers, which is available on the Instinct 2 (curr. US$199.99 on Amazon), Instinct 2S, Instinct 2X and Instinct Crossover.

Supposedly, Beta Version 14.11 fixes cadence spikes during open-water swimming activities for all eligible smartwatches. Also, Garmin states that the new beta update resolves a potential problem that could cause step totals to persist once its set time passes midnight. Additionally, Beta Version 14.11 should address outstanding Running and Cycling Dynamics data field issues that existed on the Instinct 2, 2S and 2X. Furthermore, Garmin notes that the Instinct 2X should now update its remaining battery estimate after toggling its flashlight.

Incidentally, all Beta Version 14.11 builds are marked as containing Sensor Hub Version 27.11, although this was present in Beta Version 14.09 too. It is worth noting that Garmin will not deliver Beta Version 14.11 automatically. Instead, you must download the update from Garmin's forum post and manually install it. As always, the company divides the build into four downloads split between Instinct 2/2 Solar, Instinct 2S/2S Solar, Instinct 2X and Instinct Crossover. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
