The Forerunner 955 Solar is also reduced by US$100, allowing you to purchase the gadget for US$499.99 rather than US$599.99. Again, the discount is mirrored at Amazon. Customers in Canada can get a CA$130 discount on the Forerunner 955 at the Garmin store, with the price reduced from CA$669.99 to CA$539.99. A slightly more significant price cut of CA$140 is offered on the Solar edition, allowing you to buy the gadget for CA$669.99. Again, similar deals are available at Amazon.
The Forerunner 955 has a 1.3-in (~33 mm) display with a 260 x 260 px resolution. The wearable has been designed for runners, with multi-band GPS, Training Readiness insights, Morning Report daily summary and Garmin Coach. The standard version has up to 15 days of battery life, while the Solar model has an increased battery life of 20 days or 49 hours in GPS mode. It is unclear how long these deals on the Garmin Forerunner 955 smartwatch will last.
