myFirst R2: New, special smartwatch launches with eSIM and AMOLED
myFirst has introduced a new smartwatch, the Fone R2. This is not a completely typical model; instead, the company is targeting children and their parents. At least in the Acai Purple color variant, the smartwatch is not necessarily recognizable as a children's model. The Fone R2 is aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 12.
The features are quite extensive. A mobile phone modem with eSIM support is installed, but ultimately such a modem is necessary for effective monitoring of the offspring. Not only is GPS tracking supported, but geofencing is also possible. In an emergency, children should be able to quickly call for help. Video calls are also supported, but parents can control exactly which contacts children can call.
The myFirst Fone R2 is equipped with 8 GB of storage. MP3 tracks can also be saved here, meaning the smartwatch can also function as an MP3 player. A 1.3-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 360 x 360 is installed. The battery has a capacity of 605 mAh, but the watch still needs to be recharged after just one day of use. The watch is IPX8-certified, so caution is advised when swimming. A heart rate sensor is available and a pedometer is also integrated.
myFirst is currently offering the Fone R2 smartwatch for pre-order at a discount and for a price of USD 199. Delivery to other countries is certainly possible, but buyers should take into account possible shipping costs and other fees.
