Game Freak announces Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX
Announced at Pokémon Direct, Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a Game Freak-developed remake of the original Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance (GBA) games. Available on Nintendo Switch from March 6, Rescue Team DX stays faithful to the concept of turn-based exploration through randomly-generated dungeons. Predictably, the graphics have been overhauled using a watercolour-inspired asthetic, with Game Freak also tweaking the top-down nature of the original GBA and DS games.
Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX will receive a global release and will be a 2.1 GB download. There will be a physical release too, with both versions retailing for US$59.99. Nintendo is already offering prepurchases should you wish to buy the game in advance, along with a playable demo that is available to download now.
The game will also support Online Play, for which one must have a Nintendo Switch Online membership. It is unclear what online features Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX will incorporate though, or how many Pokémon it will include.
