Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield characters and evolutions extensively leaked

The official release date for the eagerly awaited Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games is less than a fortnight away (November 15) and already a flood of leaks about the characters, evolutions, and their relevant artwork has hit the internet. Those looking forward to the latest installments in the beloved Pokémon franchise who don't want to know anything new about the games should stop reading now, as this item does include spoilers and leaked images at the end.

Firstly, it seems that Meowth has had a makeover and will evolve into a Pokémon called Perrserker (Galarian form). Appropriately, the grinning cat now has a Viking look, including an overall tougher-looking appearance with a beard and “horns.” Along with Meowth’s refreshed look, images of new as yet unnamed Pokémon have also been shared, which include one based on a fox and one on an elephant.

There have also been numerous named Pokémon characters and evolutions leaked recently. Joining the popular franchise is the slippery representative Silicobra who appears to evolve into Sandaconda. The already introduced character Sobble apparently becomes a Pokémon called Intelleon, while the also previously revealed Grookey becomes the gorilla-like Rillaboom.
