GTA 6: New screenshots with Pulp Fiction vibes and fresh details about Jason and Lucia

Following the new GTA 6 screenshots recently featured in Game Informer’s cover story, LOVE Magazine has now shared several new images of its own, along with exclusive details about Jason and Lucia. The magazine’s next issue arrives on October 5 and includes an interview with Rockstar about the story behind the pair. For Issue 27, the developers discuss what goes into creating a classic Bonnie-and-Clyde story in a world shaped by wealth and ambition. An Instagram post already offers a first taste, combining the new screenshots with comments from the game’s writers.

Lucia wants a better life and appears determined not to let anything get in her way. Jason, meanwhile, seems more driven by the circumstances around him. Rockstar writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern describes both characters as tough, but also vulnerable and flawed. Sometimes they make the right call, sometimes they do not – and part of their journey will involve learning how to balance each other out. Writer Alexa D’Agostino adds: “When you are focusing on writing a fully realised person with their own wants, you’re going to get something perfectly imperfect—with clichés, but also undeniably real.”

Fans see a Pulp Fiction homage

On Reddit, the new screenshots are attracting even more attention than the story details. The diner scene in particular has fans drawing comparisons to Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. Jason and Lucia in GTA 6 (available for pre-order on Amazon) even bear a noticeable resemblance to Pumpkin and Honey Bunny, the diner-robbing couple played by Tim Roth and Amanda Plummer.

Jason’s outfit adds to the comparison. His short-sleeved shirt over a black T-shirt is strikingly similar to what Tim Roth wears as Pumpkin during the diner scene in Pulp Fiction. And since Pumpkin and Honey Bunny ultimately rob the restaurant, the guns in Jason and Lucia’s hands only make the parallel more intriguing. “Looks like Lucia and Jason are paying for their meal with bullets,” jokes u/PowerfulBreath9241. Whether the screenshot really shows a diner robbery – and whether Rockstar deliberately intended the scene as a nod to Pulp Fiction – remains unclear.
