PS6 GPU possibly identified via AMD driver

Past leaks have suggested that the PS6 will feature an AMD APU codenamed ‘Orion’ which includes an RDNA 5-based GPU. Now, it looks like the codename for said GPU may have been uncovered through the latest AMD drivers.
While looking for codenames for upcoming AMD GPUs in AMD’s latest Adrenalin 26.9.2 driver, user SixPie on the AnandTech forum shared their discovery — a list of codenames believed to be associated with the PS6 and Steam Deck 2 GPUs. We know that AMD is developing the APU for the PS6 and Project Helix, with the former reportedly codenamed Orion and the latter codenamed Magnus.
The list has references to “ATLite3” which credible leaker Kepler_L2 believes could be the GPU in Orion. He adds that AMD used “Navi10Lite" as the codename for the PS5’s GPU. From the name, it appears to be a toned-down version of the AT3 (Alpha Triton) GPU that, according to leaks, features 48 compute units (CU) and 16-24 GB LPDDR5X VRAM. This GPU could power one of the next-generation RDNA 5 desktop GPUs. Yes, laptop memory isn’t typically used for desktop-class GPUs, but it is not impossible.
Past leaks have also highlighted that the AT4 RDNA 5 GPU carries 24 CUs along with 12-16 GB LPDDR5X VRAM. This puts the ATLite3 GPU somewhere around 30 to 40 CUs, possibly 36. This comes after the same leaker mentioned that the PS6 will feature 40 TFLOPS of raw compute power with its Orion APU. At the time, he also stated that Orion had been taped out, meaning the chip had been finalized and sent over to the manufacturer.
Furthermore, the same list includes references to the Gainsborough APU, which is said to power the Steam Deck 2.
For now, neither Sony nor AMD has shared any updates on the PS6 other than confirming their collaboration.
