PS6 handheld expandable storage solution tipped

Both Microsoft and Sony are preparing their next-generation consoles, but it is expected that Sony will bring not just a PS6 but also a handheld. Rumors and leaks about the specifications for this handheld have been circulating for a while, and the latest sheds light on the possible storage solution.
Profound leaker Moore’s Law is Dead (MLID) speaks about the rumored handheld, specifically its storage options, during the latest Broken Silicon podcast episode. He talks about the schematics of the PS6 handheld and says it will come with an SD card slot. He adds that the base NVMe SSD will likely not be upgradable and that fast SD card storage will be used to keep more data, also allowing Sony to circumvent high storage prices. That's not really a surprise, as most gaming handhelds are configured this way.
He speculates that even if the SD card standard is not fast enough to load games, it will still be fast enough to load the games into the SSD. That said, it will likely use the fastest standard available at the time. Whether Sony confines users to this standard or allows for any SD card with some limitations remains to be seen.
What seems to be more certain is that the handheld will come with a decently sized NVMe SSD and an SD card slot. Furthermore, MLID states the screen size would be at least seven to eight inches since it is designed to run games that people usually play on TVs, and text legibility would be an issue on smaller sizes.
It should be noted that most of this is just conjecture at this point, as Sony has not confirmed anything about a PS6 handheld.
