MagicX Mini Dream: processor, RAM, and price of Android version revealed

MagicX has been at work developing a handful of handhelds that it plans to announce in the near future, one of which is the Mini Dream. News of the handheld, which will be available in multiple variants, first surfaced in early August alongside renders and a few specs. Now, the manufacturer has shared more details including the price of one of the variants.
Posting on its Discord, MagicX has shared some key specs of the Mini Dream AP, one of the two Android variants the handheld will be available in. According to the post, the Mini Dream AP will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 processor. There will be a single configuration available and it will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The MagicX Mini Dream AP will also have Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity. Previous details already revealed include a 3.3-inch OLED display with a 1024 x 768 resolution and a 3,500mAh battery capacity. The battery was supposed to be 3,800mAh, but a revision of the design resulted in the handheld being smaller, which also caused the battery capacity to shrink.
The post also revealed that the upcoming handheld will feature buttons with Japanese dome switches for “quiet, comfortable presses” and dual-channel speakers with a box-style enclosure design “for rich, impressive sound.”
In addition to the spec sheet, MagicX has shared a few 3D renders of the Mini Dream AP. The images show the handheld will have symmetrical thumbsticks with RGB lights, a Switch-style button layout, and a cross D-pad.
It is also shown to have its audio jack, power button, and volume controls at the bottom, while the TF card slot is on the right side, and the USB-C port is at the top. The Mini Dream AP has a flat back with curved edges, and there's an air inlet vent next to the manufacturer's logo. It also features in-line shoulder buttons, although the L2 and R2 buttons are angled.
MagicX says the Mini Dream AP will have a price tag of $179 when it launches. This is the same price Retroid is selling the Snapdragon 865-powered Pocket 5 on its website, following a permanent price cut last month.
