Five games will be removed from Xbox Game Pass by mid-October
While Microsoft is adding five new games to Game Pass until October 15, five other titles will be removed from the gaming subscription. Starting mid-month, three sci-fi games – Dyson Sphere Program, Everspace 2, and From Space – will be leaving Game Pass. The loss of F1 Manager 2023 is likely to hit fans particularly hard, as it is not yet clear if and when the successor will be added to the gaming subscription. If you fancy a bizarre horror experience at the start of October, you should take a quick look at Scorn. As long as the games are still available, subscribers can take advantage of the member discount and save 20 percent on purchases.
Dyson Sphere Program
Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi construction game where players take on the role of an engineer tasked with building a vast space-faring empire. Players automate production lines, build transport systems between planets and optimize resource flows. One of the central tasks in the game is to build a Dyson Sphere - a huge megastructure that surrounds a star and collects its energy.
Everspace 2
Unlike the first installment, Everspace 2 shifts away from its roguelike roots, offering more of an open-world action experience with RPG elements. Nevertheless, the story picks up where its predecessor left off and puts players in the role of a new version of the clone pilot Adam Roslin. Everspace 2 offers a large open world with planets, asteroid fields and space stations. As players explore, complete quests, and gather resources, they’ll also research new technologies and upgrade their weapons. Along the way, they’ll face intense space battles that add to the excitement.
From Space
This top-down shooter is set in a post-apocalyptic world that has been overrun by pink aliens. Players choose from one of five classes and fight the alien invasion together with up to three other players. Each class comes with special abilities and weapons that promote strategic team play. In From Space, players must collaborate to complete mission objectives, gather resources, and fend off the ever-growing alien hordes. With each mission, you improve your equipment and skills to effectively counter the invasion.
F1 Manager 2023
F1 Manager 2023 is a management simulation that puts players in control of a Formula 1 team. Players make the decisions that need to be made as a Formula 1 manager - from choosing the right racing strategy to managing drivers and developing vehicles. Short-term decisions must be made directly during the races as well as long-term strategies for vehicle development and budget management. The fact that F1 Manager 2023 is leaving the Game Pass is likely to be a big loss for fans. After all, F1 Manager 2024 is not yet available in Microsoft's gaming subscription.
Scorn
Scorn is a first-person horror game set in a nightmarish world inspired by the works of H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński - two artists known for their surreal works. Players explore an organic-mechanical environment, solve complex puzzles and interact with bizarre machines. Occasional battles against grotesque creatures force players to adopt a strategic approach, as resources are usually scarce. The game relies on an oppressive atmosphere, minimal dialog and a subtle narrative style that contributes to the disturbing overall atmosphere.
