Deal | RTX 4060 Ti-beating Radeon RX 7700 XT drops to lowest price ever

The Radeon RX 7700 XT was in a tough spot at launch in September 2023. On one hand, the $449 price and the 12 GB VRAM were welcome decisions considering the weaker RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB had a launch price of $499. On the other hand, the RX 7800 XT was only $50 more at the time. This $50 bought you 16 GB of VRAM and 18% more performance over the RX 7700 XT per our 3DMark Time Spy Graphics testing.

This prompted AMD to drop the price of the card to push more buyers toward the RX 7700 XT which was struggling compared to the RX 7800 XT. Now, as we move closer to the launch of the RDNA 4 GPUs, it seems AMD is once again trying to get rid of RX 7700 XT stock. 

The PowerColor Radeon RX 7700 XT has now dropped to only $349.99 on Amazon, a discount of $100 vs the launch price and $50 on the $399.99 list rate.

Additionally, the board accompanies two free games: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (MetaScore 82) and Unknown 9: Awakening (releasing on October 18).

With 54 Compute Units, a 192-bit bus, 12 GB memory, and a 2,544 MHz boost clock, the RX 7700 XT occupies the mid-range of the RDNA 3 lineup alongside the RX 7800 XT. As such the card provides solid QHD/FHD performance in even the most demanding games at elevated graphics settings.

For instance, in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora at FHD/ultra, the RX 7700 XT achieved 68 FPS in our testing. Similarly, the GPU ran Alan Wake 2 at 62 FPS at QHD/ultra.

Furthermore, the board can easily push frame rates to above 100 FPS in eSports titles like Counter-Strike 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 2023, to name a few.

So, if you don’t want to wait for the RDNA 4 GPUs that are expected early next year, the RX 7700 XT on sale should satisfy your needs quite well if you’re in the market for an FHD/QHD gamer.
