Traces of next-gen Leica camera flagships detected. Xiaomi 18 to come later

Xiaomi will face more competition than in recent years when it unveils the Xiaomi 18 Pro series in late September, which will be the first to debut the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, two new Qualcomm chips that will be officially unveiled on September 22. Since the first 2nm Snapdragon platforms apparently aren’t exclusive to Xiaomi for the first few weeks this year, Honor, for example, will also present the Magic 9 series as early as September 28.
The first next-gen Leica camera flagships have now appeared in the Chinese 3C certification database, which confirms both Xiaomi devices with model numbers M154FF and M311AD with up to 100 watts of fast charging as well as UWB support. These are most likely the Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, as revealed by Digital Chat Station on Weibo.

Just like Apple: Xiaomi 18 is coming later
Meanwhile, evidence is mounting that recent rumors surrounding a separate launch event for the Xiaomi 18 Pro series and the base Xiaomi 18 model are becoming a reality. According to Digital Chat Station and Ximitime, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will launch first, with the Xiaomi 18 following a few months later, likely in December 2026. It’s not yet entirely clear what this will mean for the global launch of the new Xiaomi flagships. One scenario is that all three Leica-camera flagships, powered by the first 2nm Snapdragon chip, will arrive in Europe and other markets like India in December, significantly earlier than the regular Xiaomi flagship has in the past. However, it’s safe to assume that there won’t be a Xiaomi 18 Ultra in 2027 this time around.
