During a 90-minute stream, tech billionaire Elon Musk showcased a highly leveled and well-equipped character in Path of Exile 2. However, fans were left skeptical after watching his gameplay, doubting that he had personally leveled and equipped the character.

Elon Musk, known for balancing his passion for video games with his role as a multi-entrepreneur and his recent political endeavors, showcased this interest once again during a stream on X on January 7. Over 90 minutes, the tech billionaire presented his high-level character in Path of Exile 2 and displayed his supposed gaming skills.

Fans were taken aback by Musk’s gaming skills, but not in a good way. His character, at the impressive level of 95, reflected not only a significant time investment but also a high degree of expertise. Additionally, he wielded rare items that are challenging to acquire even for seasoned players. Despite this, Musk struggled with basic game mechanics, confusing item requirements, attempting to enter inaccessible portals, neglecting mana flasks and ultimately completing the run in a questionable fashion.

Musk’s performance has sparked skepticism about whether he genuinely leveled and equipped his character himself. Many Reddit users speculate that the character was prepared by other players, and this isn’t the first time such accusations have surfaced. In November 2024, Musk broke a world record in Diablo 4, only to face allegations of exploiting bugs. The prevailing sentiment in the gaming community is that Musk doesn’t typically invest much time in video games, but instead leverages gaming achievements to draw media attention.
