8BitDo's mobile clamp lets users attach its Micro and Zero 2 mini controllers to a smartphone. However, the clamp seems to work best for retro games.

8BitDo's Micro and Zero 2 are among its smallest controllers, and both are compatible with Android smartphones and iPhones. Up until now, the only way to use them with a phone was to have your phone lying on a flat surface or propped up. Now, 8BitDo has released a clip that lets users attach either controller to a smartphone.

The 8BitDo Micro/Zero 2 Mobile Clip is a three-piece accessory — one piece clamps to the phone, while the two other parts are holders for the Micro and Zero 2 controller. Once you choose which controller and holder to use, you can attach it to the piece that clamps to the phone. This places the controller on the lower half of your screen.

Based on the setup, the clip works best for retro games that occupy the upper half of the screen while virtual controls are placed below. The 8BitDo Micro/Zero 2 Mobile Clip is priced at $9.99, but if you don't already have the Micro or Zero 2 controller, that will cost you an additional $24.99 or $19.99 respectively.
