Dell XPS Googlebook now Dell releases new 13-inch laptop with cheaper pricing and up to 32 GB RAM for $999 and up to 32 GB RAM

A few weeks have passed since Google unveiled its first Googlebook lineup. As we discussed at the time, Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo partnered with Google to release five laptops simultaneously. Incidentally, it seems that Lenovo will soon return with a Googlebook OS-backed 2-in-1 convertible too.
For the time being, Acer is still selling the cheapest Googlebook of the bunch at $899. However, other manufacturers are gradually reducing prices to close that gap. For instance, HP and Lenovo dropped the prices of their Googlebook 14 and Googlebook 15 from $1,299 to $1,199 and $1,099, respectively.
Dell has followed suit by reducing the XPS Googlebook by $200 from $1,199 to $999, too. Paired with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, this entry-level SKU also retails for £1,261 in the UK and €1,449 in the Eurozone. According to our benchmarks, the laptop's Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80-100) should help it outperform Dell's cheaper XPS 13 with Intel Wildcat Lake processors (curr. $839 on Amazon).
Alternatively, one can configure the XPS Googlebook with 32 GB of RAM for $1,599, €1,806 and £1,572. Swapping Dell's default 512 GB SSD for a 1 TB alternative increases prices further to $1,799, €2,079 and £1,810. Please see Dell's website for more details about its first Googlebook release.
