Reviews for the Dell Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1
Previously available only on higher-end gaming laptops, mini-LED panels are starting to trickle down to more mainstream multimedia options including the Dell Inspiron series. This particular model is intriguing as it is one of the first 16-inch convertibles to offer a 2.5K mini-LED touchscreen.

The Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 (7640) is a powerful laptop at a price that isn't crazy, and that will be enough for many shoppers. The sometimes potent performance, the long battery life, and the included pen transform this 2-in-1 from an awkwardly sized tablet into a decent desktop drawing tool. That drawing capability is the Inspiron's genuine selling point, even if the convertible design is too clunky for other uses, but it could be made even better with punchier graphics. On the minus side, while the Inspiron provides an excellent display and decent productivity performance, its bulky convertible design, lack of a dedicated GPU, and inconsistent overall performance make it a questionable value proposition compared with the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 Gen 9.

The Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 has a lot of good qualities and its display brings in some great qualities. It’s not without its faults, could be more comfortable to use, and could really have shined with just a little more cooling power. But its respectable performance, flexibility, and decent build are met by a reasonable price that still makes it an appealing laptop all the same.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

78.03%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
