Cooler Master details two new GM gaming monitors with high refresh rates
Cooler Master has various gaming monitors in pipeline, including the LG WOLED-derived GZ2713. At the end of the scale sits its GA series, which is rumoured to be starting at just $69. In between those will sit the GM2501 and GM27-CQS2, two new GM series monitors that will go into production later this year.
According to TFTCentral, the GM27-CQS2 will be the more expensive of the two at $289. By contrast, the GM2501 is said to retail for $119, seemingly because of its smaller and lower resolution panel. Specifically, the GM2501 is reported to utilise a 24.5-inch IPS panel that outputs at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Additionally, TFTCentral claims that the flat monitor will offer a 180 Hz refresh rate and adaptive-sync support for variable refresh rate integration.
The website adds that the GM2501 will enter production in Q2 2024, just like the GM27-CQS2. However, the latter is said to span 27-inches and combine a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution with a 140 Hz refresh rate. Thus, the GM27-CQS2 will provide 70 Hz faster refresh rates than its predecessor (GM27-CQS) while maintaining its 27-inch form factor and 1440p resolution. Moreover, TFTCentral asserts that the GM27-CQS2 will have a 1500R curvature and a VA panel, matching the GM27-CQS.
