Acer Nitro ED270U S3 27-inch 2.5K curved gaming monitor launches at ~$168

The Acer Nitro ED270U S3 has made its official debut in China. Featuring a 27-inch VA panel, the gaming monitor has a 1500R curvature. While it’s less obviously curved compared to 1000R, this curvature is still good for an immersive viewing experience.

As for the panel itself, it sports a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 180 Hz. Combined with AMD FreeSync, the gaming monitor has what it takes to offer a smooth gaming experience. Acer claims the display has 72% NTSC color coverage and can deliver 8-bit color depth. These two make the panel good for video and photo editing.

It also has a 1 ms rated response time, HDR10 support, and eye-protection tech for comfortable gaming sessions. When it comes to the design, the Nitro ED270U S3 has a narrow bezel design. Acer says that it helps to offer an even more immersive viewing experience. Plus, the narrow bezels make it easier to get a seamless multi-monitor setup.

There’s a modern set of I/O too. More specifically, the Acer Nitro ED270U S3 has one audio out, one DP 1.4, and two HDMI 2.0 ports on the back. Other highlights include two built-in 2W speakers and an ergonomic base with an adjustable tilt option.

Pricing-wise, the Nitro ED270U S3 launched in China at CNY 1,199, around $168. Acer hasn’t said anything about the international debut yet, but the brand did launch the previous models to global markets.
