Fallout 76 will be officially launched soon and lucky Xbox One owners have already been able to indulge in beta testing of the Bethesda title. The beta version will be opened up to PC and PlayStation owners, starting on October 30. Gamers need to be over 18, have the required console/platform subscription, and be located in a qualifying territory. PC users will have to possess a Bethesda.net account and will be able to access the beta, if chosen, via that link.
However, before PC-owning Fallout fans go rushing off to sign up for the beta, they better make sure their system has the minimum requirements:
- 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6 GHz/AMD Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5 GHz or equivalent
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 780 3 GB/AMD Radeon R9 285 2 GB or equivalent
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Storage: 60 GB of free disk space
For those who really want to get a taste of the delights Fallout 76 has to offer, they should possess a system that comes with the recommended requirements (or higher):
- 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 7/8.1/10
- Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6 GHz / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X 3.5 GHz
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 970 4 GB / AMD R9 290X 4 GB
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Storage: 60 GB of free disk space
Fallout games generally receive a warm reception (regardless of how some hardcore fans view Bethesda’s involvement in the series), and initial impressions of the Xbox One beta have included very positive comments. Fallout 76 is expected to be released on November 14.
