The BMX SolidSafe Air Qi2 magnetic power bank uses semi‑solid‑state cells and a titanium‑reinforced body to improve safety and durability. It delivers up to 20 watts of wired and 15 watts of wireless power to charge phones and other electronics.

BMX has launched the 5,000 mAh SolidSafe Air Qi2 wireless magnetic power bank. It is priced at an MSRP of $59.99 and is available for purchase from BMX.

The SolidSafe Air is designed to reduce the chance of spontaneous lithium battery fires by using semi-solid-state cells, which can handle puncture and abuse better than conventional lithium-ion cells, according to the company. The body is reinforced with titanium for added strength. The slim power bank measures 103 x 70 x 6.8 mm (4.1 x 2.8 x 0.27 in.) and weighs 116 g (4.1 oz.).

The power bank comes with a USB-C port capable of outputting a maximum of 20 watts and a Qi2-compatible wireless charging pad capable of outputting a maximum of 15 watts. When both charging methods are in use, the unit can output a maximum of 10 watts through the USB-C port and 12 watts wirelessly. The unit is Apple MagSafe-compatible for magnetic mounting to the back of iPhones during charging. The SolidSafe Air recharges at a maximum 15 watts in two hours, according to BMX.

The BMX SolidSafe Air Qi2 power bank comes in gold, black, and silver.
