BMX GaNSTA 140W charger hands-on review: Powerful 4-port USB charger
Powerful charger.
The compact BMX GaNSTA 140W charger offers fast charging of electronics, providing up to 140 watts from four USB ports. The charger helps users monitor the charging progress with a color display.David Chien Published 🇳🇱 🇫🇷 ...
Verdict – Convenient multi-port charger

The BMX GaNSTA LCD laptop world charger (C1-140WA) fast‑charges up to four USB devices with a maximum output of 140W. Its color display shows total output wattage, per-port output wattage, or temperature. A touch button cycles through these displays or rotates it.
The charger can run hot, requiring caution when used around children, but the on-board AI will throttle output to maintain a safe operating temperature. The body overlaps adjacent AC outlets on an extension strip due to its design.
Nonetheless, the BMX GaNSTA 140W charger eliminates the need for four separate USB chargers, and it comes with three AC plug adapters, enabling convenient worldwide use.

Packaging
The portable charger arrived with a drawstring bag, a high-power USB-C cable, a manual, and three AC plug adapters.

Design
The AC charger has a simple design with curved edges and flat sides. Four USB ports are lined up on the front edge — one USB-A port and three USB-C ports — while the color display and touch button are located along the top.

Flip-out AC prongs are located along the bottom. The GaNSTA comes with three AC plug adapters, which slide over the folded prongs. This convenient design enables worldwide use without the need to buy a separate AC plug adapter.

A color display sits atop the charger, providing information on total output wattage, individual port wattage, or current operating temperature on three screens. A touch button next to the display toggles through these three screens. When held for a few seconds, the screen rotates 90-degrees.
A short press cycles through the three screens, while a two-second press rotates them clockwise by 90 degrees for easier readability.

The on-board AI controls the power distribution to maintain a safe temperature. There is no manual control over this. There is no physical power switch, so the charger will continue to draw a minuscule amount of power when not in use.
In-use
The BMX GaNSTA 140W charger had no issue simultaneously charging or powering a variety of devices, including smartphones, laptops, toys, and power banks like the BMX SolidSafe Air (sold here on Amazon). The charger will automatically turn on and begin charging devices as soon as they are plugged in.

The USB-C1 or USB-C2 port can output the 140W maximum, but only when a single port is in use. When multiple ports are used, the charger can output up to 132.5 watts, depending on the ports in use (eg. 65W USB-C1 + 45W USB-C2 + 22.5W USB-A). Additionally, ambient temperature and energy transmission losses can further limit maximum power-delivery.

Charging test
During testing, a 57.75 Wh power bank reached full charge faster with the BMX GaNSTA (max 140-watt USB-C output) versus a SW-PD65WCCA power supply (max 65-watt USB-C output) using the included USB-C cable.
The GaNSTA was particularly good at utilizing the maximum rated capacity of USB-C cables—several 6A USB-C cables only transmitted 75W from another charger’s 100W USB-C port, but transmitted a full 100W when plugged into the GaNSTA’s 140W USB-C port.
The charging speed was nonlinear because most lithium-ion batteries will charge at a faster rate from 0% to 80%, then slower until 100% for safety. The body of the GaNSTA did reach 65.0°C (149.0°F) in a room with an ambient temperature of 26.9°C (80.4°F), hot enough to warrant caution when used around children.

Conclusion
The compact BMX GaNSTA 140W charger conveniently fast-charges up to four devices through its USB-A and USB-C ports and comes with AC plug adapters for worldwide use, while delivering per-port power information on its color screen.
