Archive.org versionI would probably conclude my article by saying that the ROG Zephyrus M is more of a content creator-oriented gaming laptop than most of the rest of the ASUS ROG lineup. It’s really balanced, you can game on it, and you can also use it as your portable machine to do some work away from the plug. It’s reasonably priced too at RM5999, I would say that this would be the laptop I would choose to carry if I wanted a laptop that I can bring out to work away from the office everyday and also kick back for some games when I am chilling. While many laptops can only do one or the either, the ROG Zephyrus M (GU502) is actually great for both work and play.

Asus has managed to fuse the amount of performance you need for playing the latest games in a slim and practical form factor. In fact, while using the Zephyrus M GU502GU, I often forgot that this is a gaming laptop (until I looked at the RGB LED logo on the lid). The laptop becomes toasty when you are playing for long but given that you can carry this laptop anywhere in your bag throughout the day. And the best part is that nobody will be giving you the awkward stares at the coffee shop while you ware working on your document.

The thermal design is somewhat inadequate and you might want to stick to lower settings or less intense games just to be more comfortable. You'll also want to invest in a headset to hear your games over the roar of the fans, and you can forget about not disturbing anyone else around you. Asus has made some odd decisions in terms of design too – the missing webcam and off-centre trackpad being the most egregious of them.

The Asus Zephyrus M15 is a very appealing laptop with few weak points. It's not the most affordable rig, but many more expensive machines have crossed our testing benches lately, putting it firmly in the midrange. It provides a totally fair deal for the cost. You may prefer a metal build, the Max-Q version of the RTX 2070 doesn't stand far above rivals, and there's no webcam. But those are mostly nitpicks.

The company's 2007 revenues reached US$6.9 billion. ASUS also produces components for other manufacturers. The Eee PC initiated the netbook boom in 2008.
In the notebook sector, Asus had a global market share of about 11% from 2014-2016, making it the fourth largest laptop manufacturer. In the smartphone sector, Asus is not among the Top 5 and has only a small market share (as of 2016).
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile: Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops based on the desktop GTX 1660 Ti and therefore the Turing architecture without raytracing and Tensor cores. The performance of the Max-P variant should be similar to an older GTX 1070.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Mobile: Mid range to high end laptop graphics card based on the Turing architecture with raytracing features and 1,920 shaders. Compared to the similar named desktop card it offers reduced clock rates.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile: High-End laptop graphics card based on the TU106 chip with 2,304 shaders and 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Compared to the desktop variant, the GPU is clocked lower. The refresh version in April 2020 bears the same name, but is slightly higher clocked.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q: High-End laptop graphics card based on the TU106 chip with 2,304 shaders and 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Offers reduced clock speeds to achieve a much lower power consumption.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q: High-End laptop graphics card based on the TU104 chip with 2,560 shaders. Runs at reduced clock speeds compared to a laptop RTX 2070 Super to achieve a much lower power consumption. The TGP is specified at 80 Watts and therefore significantly lower than the RTX 2070 Super Mobile (115 Watt).

i7-9750H: A high-performance hexa-core processor of the Coffee Lake product family designed for the larger laptops. Integrates six processor cores clocked at 2.6 - 4.5 GHz (4 GHz with 6 cores) that support HyperThreading. Manufactured in an improved 14nm process (14nm++).
Intel Comet Lake:
i7-10750H: A high-performance hexa-core processor designed for use in thicker laptops with room for better thermals. The Comet Lake-H processor is manufactured on the third-gen 14 nm Intel process and features a 24 EU UHD Graphics 630 iGPU clocked at 350 MHz to 1,150 MHz. The CPU cores run at 2.6 GHz (base clock speed) Boosting up to 5.0 GHz and the likely all-core Boost frequency is 4.3 GHz. Hyper-Threading is enabled, allowing two threads to run simultaneously on each core.
i7-10875H: On Coffee Lake architecture based processor for big and heavy laptops. Integrates eight processor cores clocked at 2.3 - 5,1 GHz (all 8 cores up to 4.3 GHz) that support HyperThreading. Manufactured in an improved 14nm process (14nm++).
