In short, I think that this is a great laptop for its price. I highly recommend this laptop for those who want to seek out a thin and relatively gaming laptop. It has a great battery life and also a surprisingly enjoyable keyboard to type on.

The Zephyrus M GU502GU is a fresh take on gaming laptops. Asus has managed to fuse the amount of performance you need for playing the latest games in a slim and practical form factor. In fact, while using the Zephyrus M GU502GU, I often forgot that this is a gaming laptop (until I looked at the RGB LED logo on the lid). The laptop becomes toasty when you are playing for long but given that you can carry this laptop anywhere in your bag throughout the day. And the best part is that nobody will be giving you the awkward stares at the coffee shop while you ware working on your document.

The new Zephyrus M GU502 is a sleek, powerful ultrabook that does a lot of things extremely well. The display is accurate out of the box for professional work and has enough grunt under the hood for video rendering and mainstream gaming.

As we can see, a gaming laptop this slim does have its downsides. The thermal design is somewhat inadequate and you might want to stick to lower settings or less intense games just to be more comfortable. You'll also want to invest in a headset to hear your games over the roar of the fans, and you can forget about not disturbing anyone else around you. Asus has made some odd decisions in terms of design too – the missing webcam and off-centre trackpad being the most egregious of them.

The ROG Zephyrus M would be a good option for anyone who is keen to buy a gaming laptop that’s reliable, powerful, and compact. Of course, to get a gaming laptop as thin and light, you have to shell out Rs 150,000. Asus is trying to pitch this laptop as a general purpose machine that can be used for gaming also. But again, the ROG Zephyrus M is not targeted at the average user looking to buy a gaming laptop.

The ROG Zephyrus M GU502 is a good gaming laptop that delivers excellent performance, especially good gaming capabilities. Aside from that, it has a 144Hz refresh rate which amplifies your gaming experience further especially with FPS titles. It also comes with a 512GB SSD and a 16GB RAM which is plenty even for gamers that want to store games or even run multiple games at once.

The Zephyrus M GU502 is an excellent multi-purpose laptop, and while expensive at the time of this review, it will increase in value in the months to come, as it gets discounted. Asus put together an excellently crafted and practical notebook, a good typer and a solid performer once tweaked, both with everyday use and with demanding loads and games, but there are still a few particularities and certain missing features that might steer those interested in a competent all-rounder towards something else, as you'll find from our in-depth review down below.

Availability and pricing details on the 2019 Zephyrus M update are still unknown at the time of the article, but I’d expect around $1800-$2000 as a starting price for the RTX models, based on the price of the existing RTX 2060 configurations of the Zephyrus S GX531, and a little lower for the GTX 1660 Ti variants.

Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile: Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops based on the desktop GTX 1660 Ti and therefore the Turing architecture without raytracing and Tensor cores. The performance of the Max-P variant should be similar to an older GTX 1070.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.
Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
9750H: On Coffee Lake architecture based processor for big and heavy laptops. Integrates six processor cores clocked at 2.6 - 4.5 GHz (4 GHz with 6 cores) that support HyperThreading. Manufactured in an improved 14nm process (14nm++). » Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
