Asus VivoBook Flip 14 TP410UA-EC242T
The Asus VivoBook Flip 14 TP410UA-EC242T is a 14-inch convertible in its product range, which is powered by a Kaby Lake processor. The VivoBook Flip 14 comes with a bright, contrast-rich IPS display, a fast SSD and a backlit keyboard. With stylus support, fingerprint sensor and extensive connectivity, the TP410UA is ideal for a wide variety of productivity, entertainment, and creative applications. As for design, the ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 offers ingenious multi-functionality and high mobility with its elegant aluminum design. The case of the VivoBook Flip is made mostly of plastic. Only the back of the display lid is made of metal. The touchscreen can be used with one’s fingers as well as the separately available Asus Pen. The touchpad of the TP410UA incorporates a fingerprint sensor. A user can just log in without additional password input via Windows Hello to the notebook. The 14-inch touch-enabled display of the VivoBook Flip operates with a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Brightness (307.6 cd/m2) and contrast ratio (1,422:1) are also in good order. The TP410UA's FHD NanoEdge touch display, which rotates freely through 360°, has particularly narrow screen edges. This makes it possible to integrate a large 14-inch wide-view display into a compact 13-inch housing. The display pleases the eye with very stable viewing angles too. With its four modes of operation, notebook, tablet, stand or tent, the VivoBook Flip 14 always adapts to the user’s life and requirements. And no matter how they use the flip, they can always use the Windows ASUS Pen or any other Active Stylus accessory with numerous Windows Ink applications. For a wide range of applications, the VivoBook Flip 14 is equipped with a 7th generation Intel Core processor, efficient 8 GB DDR4 RAM, and fast a 256 GB SSD. Right out of the box, only 206 GB are available to the user. The Windows installation files and the recovery partition take up the rest of the storage space. However, it still offers more than enough performance for usage scenarios such as office work and Internet browsing. As for graphics processor, it features the Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU, which supports DirectX 12 and has a maximum core clock of 1,000 MHz. The GPU of the device is an entry-level model and can only achieve playable frame rates in games with low system requirements. The convertible offers a good selection of ports. Besides three USB Type-A ports (one USB 3.1 Gen 1 port, two USB 2.0 ports), the device also features one USB Type-C port (USB 3.1 Gen 1). A video output (HDMI) is available. The built-in SD card-reader can be used without any hassle. The Wi-Fi module comes from Intel (Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265). Besides the Wi-Fi standards 802.11a/b/g/n, it also supports the fast ac standard. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

Not without flaws. The VivoBook Flip 14 comes with a bright, contrasty IPS display, a fast SSD and a backlit keyboard. The device also offers support for the separately available input devices from Asus. However, with a price tag of some 900 Euros (~$1073), the device does not represent a bargain buy.

There’s still enough to like about the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 to make it worth a look. It's an attractive laptop, and the options of using it in tablet, tent, and stand modes can come in handy. We just wish it had come equipped with a solid-state drive...and perhaps a better Webcam.

As colorful as the display is, there are far too many issues with the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 to recommend this 2-in-1. Its sub-6-hour battery life is a deal breaker on its own, and when that's paired with a bouncy keyboard and a sluggish hard drive, this laptop will give you too many headaches.

It’s easy to say that the ASUS VivoBook 14 is probably your best bet in the 14-inch convertible market segment. It comes with a good keyboard, although the touchpad isn’t anything special, decent build quality, plenty of upgrade options and vibrant IPS display.

In conclusion, we would like to say that the VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 is a stunning looking piece of machinery. The color, the styling, the design – simply beautiful. Also, it was extremely snappy thanks to its fast NVMe SSD and the almighty Ryzen 4000U processors, which have the power to skip past any light-to-medium workload. And on top of that, you have one free RAM SODIMM slot for upgrades, providing the option for dual-channel memory, which boosts the graphics performance by quite a lot.

The Asus VivoBook Flip is a good budget convertible with no major weak points. The build is compact and lightweight, it has a healthy selection of ports and a nice screen, and battery life is decent. The performance, in particular, is a strong suit, thanks to the Ryzen 7 chip, which tops the Ryzen 5 and Intel alternatives in machines around the same price.

As one of the first Intel Iris Xe Max-powered devices, the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 aims to bring a lot to the table for the mid-range laptop user. The VivoBook Flip 14 is not without caveats and the Xe Max dGPU throws up its own shenanigans. However, we also get decent hardware for the price along with adequate performance to boot. I feel that the VivoBook Flip 14 is a well-made product with its thin and light design. The touch functionality is very much a rarity in this price range and gives the laptop a distinctive edge. AMD’s Ryzen chip powering the laptop is also quite efficient at performing moderate to easy tasks. However, the not-so-impressive display and battery life can play spoilsport. Buy the VivoBook Flip 14 for its great form factor, touchscreen capabilities and overall decent performance.

At around Rs 60,000, the Asus Vivobook Flip 14 is a solid option for those looking for a work companion. It packs decent features but doesn't come without flaws. While the design feels solid and the keyboard feels right for most tasks. The display is the biggest letdown of the laptop and makes the Vivobook Flip 14 feel like an overpriced device. Because of the sub-par display on the Vivobook Flip 14, you will never actually enjoy the 2-in-1 form factor of the laptop. The battery life is another weak point of the package. If you want a laptop strictly for work that involves working on presentations, research, writing work, and browsing the internet, then the Asus Vivobook Flip 14 should meet that requirement. However, if watching videos, movies, or hard-core gaming is to be considered, then you should look elsewhere.

The Vivobook Flip 14 is a smart, modern device with a great build, an average display and great battery life. If you’re looking for a flip-screen notebook, go for the Flip 14. If you just need a workhorse, however, I’d hold off till the Mi Notebook and Realme Book reviews are in. While they offer similar specs, both brands are promising laptops with larger and superior displays at a lower price.

The Asus VivoBook Flip 14 is a premium-looking offering from Asus. As we have come to expect from Asus laptops, it performs quite well and looks the part. However, it has a few glaring issues that become harder to ignore the more you use it. The chassis doesn’t feel cheap at first, but there are hints that it won’t hold up very well over time. The form factor promises great media consumption functionality, but the display fails to deliver. It’s barely usable outdoors — despite the fact that a laptop like this attracts folks that need a powerful laptop that can be used on the go. The battery life is impressive, and this laptop can comfortably handle home and office workloads. At the end of the day, this form factor really deserves a better screen and to have fewer issues with the build. The Asus VivoBook Flip 14 is bound to get your work done, but its rougher edges make it tough to recommend over the competition.

The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 is a great laptop for anyone looking for a fairly powerful device for general work in the Philippines. It’s fairly flexible owing to its design, has a powerful processor, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. It should be on top of your list if you’re looking for a new, decently-priced laptop. Our ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 review makes a clear case for this particular laptop for anyone looking for something that won’t break the bank in the Philippines. It has a good mix of performance, battery life, and design, and while the screen isn’t the best in the world, its sub Php 50K price tag makes it an attractive choice for a mid-range laptop.
