Thunderobot has teased the international release of a high-end mini-PC that debuted last month in China. For reference, the Mix G2 will launch alongside the Zero Air gaming laptop, an entirely new device that has not even arrived in Thunderobot's home market yet.
To recap, the company released the Mix G2 in mid-November with Intel Arrow Lake HX processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 laptop GPUs. In that sense, the Mix G2 serves as an alternative to the ROG NUC (2025), which Asus offers with up to a GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU (curr. $3,199 on Amazon).
By contrast, the Mix G2 can be configured with the more powerful GeForce RTX 5090. Edging the GeForce RTX 5080 by around 17% in our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 5090 helps push the Mix G2 to a heady CNY 24,999 (~$3,546) in China, as does the inclusion of a Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and 64 GB of RAM.
Thunderobot clarifies that the Mix G2 will be available globally with a GeForce RTX 5090, too. However, it remains to be seen whether cheaper options packing a Core Ultra 7 255HX, a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or a GeForce RTX 5080 will also be making their way out of China. Thunderobot will fully unveil the Mix G2 globally on January 6 during CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
