Aaeon has introduced four new offerings carrying the UP brand name. Each of the mini PCs can be equipped with up to an 8-core Intel N355 CPU, and packs a decent array of standard as well as enterprise-focused I/O.

Aaeon is a well-known name when it comes to industrial mini PCs and edge computing. Ahead of CES 2026, the brand has announced four new additions to its UP family of Edge PCs. Pricing details are not publicly revealed for now, although interested customers can definitely reach out to Aaeon directly for more information.

Intel Twin Lake-powered Edge mini PCs for enterprise

First up, we have two new ultra-compact mini PCs, dubbed the UP TWL Edge and the leaner UP TWLS Edge. The mini PCs will be powered by Intel processors, with customers having the option to choose between the 8-core Intel Core 3 N355, 4-core Intel N250, and 4-core Intel N150 CPUs.

Of the bunch, the N355 is undoubtedly the most powerful, promising performance that can keep up with the Core i5-10300H CPU in multicore synthetic benchmarks. For industrial use cases, the performance on offer should suffice. I/O options include gigabit Ethernet, triple USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 8-pin GPIO, COM, and HDMI 1.4b. The TWL Edge, however, does not get GPIO or COM ports.

Next, we have the UP Squared TWL Edge and the UP Squared Pro TWL Edge. These systems are not as compact, and are geared towards more demanding workloads. The UP Squared Pro packs three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, including dual USB-A ports and a single USB-C port.

Unlike the UP Squared, the Pro variant rocks the ability to house AI accelerators, via its M.2 port. For storage, a SATA port is also present. Moreover, a 40-pin GPIO connector and COM ports have also been provided. Finally, networking is handled by dual 2.5GbE LAN ports.

The UP Squared also features a decent array of ports, consisting of triple USB 3.2 Gen 2, dual gigabit LAN, and dual COM (RS-232/422/485) ports. Networking requirements can be handled by the provided M.2 2230 slot, and storage by the M.2 2280 slot. At just 9.5 x 9.5 x 5.5 cm, or 3.7 x 3.7 x 2.17 inches, the mini PC is pretty compact as well. The TWL Edge and TWLS Edge, are even tinier, with the Slim variant just 3.8 cm or 1.5 inches in height.

Pricing and availability

As mentioned earlier, pricing and availability details are yet to be disclosed. Being an enterprise product, it is likely that pricing will depend on order volume.

For more details regarding each product, interested customers are requested to refer to Aaeon's official website. Casual users, on the other hand, will most likely be better served by something like the Beelink SER9 Pro AI mini PC (currently $599 on Amazon) with the powerful Ryzen 7 H 255 APU.
