The GH9 is a relatively compact mini PC with a fairly unusual design and a powerful Intel processor. Fast wired and wireless network connections are supported as well.
The GH9 is a new mini PC that’s available at Geekbuying and Amazon and features a pretty unconventional design. The chassis is basically a prism with an irregular hexagonal base, and the GH9 can be used in both upright and horizontal positions. Meanwhile, the Intel Core i9-12900HK is a quite powerful processor, even though that chipset was introduced back in January 2022. That said, the GH9 doesn’t sport a dedicated graphics card, although the integrated GPU should be able to handle some lighter or older games. Either way, the CPU has a total of 14 cores.
On Amazon, this new mini PC retails for a price of $659 with 32GB of memory and a 1TB SSD. The M.2 2280 SSD is connected via PCIe 4.0 and thus offers a high data transfer speeds. More importantly, the SSD can be replaced and the memory can be upgraded to up to 64GB later on. Running three monitors simultaneously is supported thanks to DisplayPort, HDMI and Thunderbolt 4. The latter can also be used to hook up an external graphics card, but there are bandwidth limitations in that case. Furthermore, this small desktop computer has USB 3.2 ports as well as two Ethernet ports with 2.5Gbps. Lastly, the GH9 supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 in terms of wireless connectivity.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
