AOC has announced plans to offer a new Mini LED-backed gaming monitor globally. For context, the company has just presented the Q27G4SMN in China Mini LED backlights aiding a 27-inch VA panel. By contrast, the Agon U27G4XM leverages an IPS panel, possibly the same one found in KTC's M27P6 (curr. $424 on Amazon).
As a result, the Agon U27G4XM outputs natively at 4K with a 160 Hz refresh rate. However, the monitor can double its refresh rate to 320 Hz by reducing its resolution to 1080p. Meanwhile, its 1,152 local dimming zones deliver up to 1,200 nits peak brightness across small aeras with HDR mode enabled. Moreover, the 1 ms GtG gaming monitor contains the following ports, too:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 4x USB Type-A
- 1x USB Type-B
Also, AOC has included an ergonomic stand but no built-in speakers or USB Type-C connectivity for a single cable setup. The Agon U27G4XM will reach the UK at the start of next year for £399.99 (~$528). Likewise, the monitor should be available across the Eurozone in January 2026 for €519 (~$601). Please see AOC's website for more details.
