The Acer TravelMate P4 (TMP413-51) is a small but capable device. This is possible thanks to the cooling solution. It looks modest but it just gets the job done even in long periods of 100% CPU load. In this case, the processor can maintain 2.16 GHz for the P cores and 1.67 GHz for the E cores. This is a respectable result for a 13-incher. Also, the chip temperature is under control and the fan is almost quiet. The keyboard is comfortable for long hours of non-stop typing because it has a long key travel and clicky feedback. The optional backlight can be handy for those who prefer to work in a dimmed environment or during the nighttime. The touchpad has a smooth surface that allows precise tracking. The 16:10 IPS display (BOE NV133WUM-N44 (BOE0C28)) is good enough for home or office usage.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.
