Pros
Cons
The Acer Chromebook 311 C725 is a small Chrome OS laptop designed mainly for students, web browsing, and basic productivity. Reviewers give it an average score of about 66.7%, reflecting a capable but limited budget device. Its strongest qualities are long battery life, a comfortable keyboard, low weight, and durable construction with repair-friendly design elements. The 11.6-inch IPS display uses a 1366 x 768 resolution, but reviewers note large bezels, weak color accuracy, and a dated screen experience. Performance is suitable for writing, browsing, and light tasks, though the unknown processor and ARM Mali-G57 MP2 graphics are not intended for demanding creative work or gaming. Overall, it is a practical secondary or school laptop, but users needing a sharper display, stronger performance, or better webcam quality should consider alternatives.

If you’re a student looking for a productivity-first laptop that lasts a day’s long worth of studying, then the Acer Chromebook 311 is a decent choice. It boasts more than 13 hours of battery life, and seamless Pixel integration for those already invested in Google’s ecosystem. The Chromebook 311 is fit for light productivity and web-surfing, and its keyboard feels lovely to type on too. But this doesn’t mean the Chromebook 311 is perfect — far from it, actually. The laptop, unfortunately, sports large bezels which make the already small 11.6-inch screen look even smaller. Color coverage and accuracy are poor, making the Chromebook 311 unfit for photo and video editing.

The Acer Chromebook 311 (2026) is a solid, small Chromebook with great battery life, decent power for basic tasks and a comfortable keyboard to boot. The screen here feels a little low-res in 2026, and its port selection isn’t as complete as other laptops in its class. For instance, the Acer Chromebook Spin 312 model ups the screen size a smidgen, brings the resolution to Full HD, and it’s a touchscreen to boot. There are also more ports than the Chromebook 311 (2026). It’s around the same price in terms of RRP, making it a bit of a no-brainer in my eyes. The Acer Chromebook 311 (C725) is a budget-friendly laptop that excels when it comes to durability and battery life. The MIL-STD 810H military-grade certification and modular, easy-to-repair design make it a standout for longevity (and ability to survive schoolchildren). Unfortunately, Acer had to cut some corners somewhere, and that comes in CPU power, display resolution, and webcam quality. Ultimately, it serves best as a portable, distraction-free companion tool for basic tasks like writing, light photo editing, or digital crafting rather than a primary workstation for heavy creative professional use.
