The Swift Go 14 is an impressive laptop; it’s thin and light, it has a great display, and it performs well. So, for whom is this laptop? I would say it’s for anyone who wants a simple, all-in-one device, mainly students or business personnel. I think the only major downside of this laptop is the battery life. However, if you really need a laptop with excellent battery life, I would suggest the Acer Swift 14 with the Ultra 7 226V, which costs slightly more but is better in all respects except the display. The MacBook Air M2 is also a good choice.

At a starting price of Rs 89,999, the Acer Swift Go 14 (2024) is a versatile machine. On the flip side, the lack of upgradability and its subpar speakers are the key drawbacks. That said, it’s a well-built laptop featuring a metal chassis and a compact and lightweight design, enhancing its portability. The device is powered by the Core Ultra 5 125H with AI capabilities, and while it may not offer top-notch performance for its price segment, it efficiently handles daily tasks, including full HD video editing. The paired integrated Arc graphics are also sufficient for casual gaming, including some older AAA titles.

Intel Arc 7-Core: Integrated graphics adapter based on the Xe LPG architecture (similar to the dedicated Arc GPUs, but with a focus on efficiency). Provides 7 of the 8 Xe cores (112 Xe Vector Engines) and 7 ray tracing units.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Ultra 5 125H: A mid-range Meteor Lake family chip that debuted in December 2023. This 1st Gen Core Ultra laptop processor has come to replace 13th generation Core chips; it has 14 cores (4 + 8 + 2) and 18 threads at its disposal. Its Performance cores, of which there are 4, run at up to 4.5 GHz while its Efficient cores, of which there are 10 (8 main cores plus 2 extra ones found in the Low Power Island) run at up to 3.6 GHz. The 7-core Arc GPU, just out of the oven, serves as the integrated graphics adapter (this runs at up to 2.20 GHz) and there is a bevy of other brand-new technologies on offer as well such as the integrated AI Boost NPU with two Gen 3 engines for hardware AI workload acceleration.
