MagyarADO Air Carbon new folding e-bike weighing 12.5kg crowdfunding soon
ADO has announced the Air Carbon e-bike, which will soon arrive via an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. The company claims that its latest model is the lightest carbon fiber folding e-bike, weighing 12.5kg (~27.6 lbs). The lightness of the frame and front fork, as well as the 15-second folding mechanism, should make this model e-bike a good solution for commuters.
The Air Carbon is powered by a Bafang motor with a torque sensor to adjust the power output based on how hard you are pedalling. Also included is a carbon belt for easier maintenance, and ADO claims the e-bike’s battery provides up to 100 km (~60 miles) assistance range on a single charge. Plus, the model has a “smart connect” module, which allows you to connect your phone to the bike. This enables a range of app-based features, including GPS tracking, which could be helpful in case of theft or if you lose your bike.
The Indiegogo page suggests that ADO will offer customers up to 40% off the RRP when they buy the model through the crowdfunding campaign. However, the retail price and expected delivery date of the ADO Air Carbon e-bike have yet to be revealed. Also, as with any crowdfunding campaign, there is a risk that your order may be delayed or unfulfilled, depending on the success of the project. The Indiegogo campaign for the ADO Air Carbon e-bike is expected to launch in early May.
