Xiaomi TV ES Pro 86" revealed with 1,000 nits of brightness, a 4K 120 Hz panel and HDMI 2.1 support

Xiaomi has announced the TV ES Pro 86", building on the existing ES series. As its name suggests, the TV ES Pro has an 86-inch panel. Unsurprisingly, the TV also outputs natively at 4K (3,840 x 2,160) in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Better still, the TV has a 120 Hz refresh rate, 4 ms response times and offers 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Xiaomi claims that the TV ES Pro 86" provides sub-2 Delta E deviations too, ensuring excellent colour reproduction.

Accordingly, Xiaomi states that the TV ES Pro 86" delivers 94% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Incidentally, the TV supports HDMI VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium for reduced image tearing, plus 120 Hz MEMC. According to Xiaomi, an SoC consisting of four ARM Cortex-A73 cores powers the TV ES Pro 86", complemented by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Moreover, Xiaomi has equipped the TV ES Pro 86" with the following connectivity:

• 1x Ethernet

• 1x S/PDIF
• 2x USB Type-A

Initially, the Xiaomi TV ES Pro 86" will be available for CNY 7,999 (~US$1,195). According to JD.com, Xiaomi will only honour this promotional price until 20:00 CST (12:00 UTC) on May 31, after which the TV will cost CNY 8,499 (~US$1,270). Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will sell the TV ES Pro 86" outside China at this stage.
