Tecno has announced that its latest affordable-class Pova-series Android smartphones will make a global debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) of 2024 in Barcelona. Furthermore, it will feature brand-first Dolby Atmos support, rated to confer a more "immersive" audio experience on the devices certified to use it.

Tecno's Pova series has evolved to support 5G, 120Hz refresh rated for 6.78-inch FHD+ displays and Nothing-baiting ARC Interface rear panel LED accents in its latest 5 Pro flagship, all for INR 15,999 (~$192) with 8GB of RAM out of the box on Amazon.in at present. However, its series has never stepped up to official branding of any kind for its audio - until now.

Tecno has announced that it will partner with Dolby to present the upcoming Pova 6 Pro 5G as a new smartphone capable of delivering "premium, multidimensional audio experience with depth, clarity, and details like never before".

The 6 Pro 5G will succeed a smartphone with the Dimensity 6080 SoC, Tecno's 68W "Ultra Fast Charging" technology and a 50MP AI rear camera at MWC 2024.

The OEM has also now revealed that it will only be the first of its smartphones with its latest big-name buzzword, with next-gen Phantom- and Camon-series devices slated to upgrade to Dolby Atmos thereafter.
