Huawei P70 Art tipped to launch with new multi-function periscope zoom lens for one of three 50MP rear cameras

The Huawei P60 Art is tipped to gain a direct 2024 successor with even more advanced XMAGE cameras; in fact, it might even debut the OEM's latest periscope zoom module that comes with upgrades compared to that of even the Mate 60 RS.

Furthermore, it is now slated to launch with macro functionality as well as those of a telephoto lens, thereby negating the need for those 2MP shooters no one likes through sophisticated engineering.

Then again, even Digital Chat Station, the prodigious tipster behind this new claim, seems less than certain whether its "4X" zoom will be either digital or optical in nature ("there may be cropping").

The P70 Art (or possibly Pro Art) is also now thought to go ahead and combine Huawei's latest variable-aperture module with a top-end 1-inch sensor, taking the Sony IMX989 up for this purpose.

Finally, those 2 50MP shooters might be joined by a third of more predictable "ultra-wide angle" specs in the upcoming Huawei flagship smartphone.
