New rumours about MacBook Air

Category: rumors, new notebook models

Rumours about a new Macbook turned up again, because Apple showed a new banner ad on its website.

There is a new banner ad at the US website of Apple which says “There’s something in the Air”. This reinforced rumours about a new MacBook. The slogan can have different meanings. One could be the size of the notebook. Probably Apple developed an ultra thin and low weight laptop. Or they told something about the possibilities of connectivity. Maybe the MacBook will be equipped with WWAN or wireless USB. Furthermore, Apple registered the domains macbookair.info, macbookair.us and macbookair.biz. Hopefully Steve Jobs tells something about this notebook in his Keynote on Tuesday.

Update: The MacBook Air has been presented and is currently the thinnest Notebook on the earth.

The downside are the sparse port offering (mini-DVI, 1x USB, Headphones), a non replaceable battery, and the lack of an optical drive (altough there is an option to access drives on network computers).
