It has been almost 7 years since Gulikit released its portable dock for the Nintendo Switch. It has now shared a teaser for a new dock with compatibility for the Switch 2 as well as the first generation Switch and Switch OLED handhelds.

The Nintendo Switch 2 comes with a dock in the box, but there are several third-party options available, too. Gulikit plans to add another to the list, as it has shared a teaser of its upcoming dock for Nintendo Switch systems.

Gulikit's new dock doesn't have an official name yet, but the teaser shared on X reveals the dock is portable, making it a suitable alternative to the main dock when traveling. It appears to be made of aluminum with a plastic underside. The base has slip-resistant feet and vents for heat dissipation.

What is interesting about the dock is that it has a removable cover block for the USB-C connector. This cover magnetically attaches to the top of the dock, serving as back support for your Nintendo Switch. The video also shows that the dock has air intake vents flanking the USB-C connector on all sides.

The Gulikit dock has just three ports — an HDMI output port, a USB-A port, and a USB-C port for power input. There's also a button labelled dock mode, which should allow users to alternate between TV mode and dock mode. Gulikit says the dock is compatible with the Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch 2. However, it hasn't revealed when it will launch and how much it would cost.

Gulikit's new dock has three ports on the back like its predecessor.

Based on the video, Gulikit's upcoming dock is an upgrade to its aging model, the NS05 Dock Set (available on Amazon for $21.99). It ditches the ABS casing for aluminum, and adds vents to the base for better cooling. While the number of ports haven't changed, we can expect some improvements such as support for a higher power input for the USB-C port and faster transfer speeds for the USB-A port.
